Who we are

Van Finance Limited (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data you provide through this website. We are registered in England & Wales (company no. [company number]), registered office Unit 3, Greystone’s Court, Towthorpe Moor Lane, York, YO32 9ST, and authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 807354). What we collect

• Contact details you enter: name, email, mobile number.
• Business details: business type and company or trading name.
• For limited companies/LLPs, public information we retrieve from Companies House (company number, status, type, registered office, incorporation date, SIC codes).
• Your vehicle and finance preferences, and the consents you give.
• Technical data: source page, UTM parameters and limited analytics (see our cookie policy).

Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To provide a quote and respond to your enquiry — on the basis of taking steps at your request and our legitimate interests in operating a van finance brokerage.
• To share your details with selected finance partners/lenders so they can provide a quote — on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interests.
• Marketing (only if you opt in) — on the basis of your consent; you can withdraw at any time.
• Compliance and record-keeping — to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Sharing your data with finance partners

To find you a quote we may share your details with selected lenders, brokers and finance partners. We capture your acknowledgement of this when you submit an enquiry. We do not sell your data for unrelated purposes.

Processors we use

We use trusted service providers to run the site and deliver enquiries, including Cloudflare (hosting and security), Resend (email delivery), Google Workspace (our mailboxes), and Companies House (company lookups). In a later phase we may use Supabase (secure data storage). Some providers are based outside the UK; where data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum).

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal/regulatory requirements, after which it is securely deleted. [Confirm retention periods for worked, unworked and rejected enquiries with your adviser.]

Your rights

We hold third-party keys server-side only, use encryption in transit, and apply least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
